The closest candidate, Chanel Chance Eau Tendre, also makes me smile with its fruity, smooth reading of the “pink floral” theme… But nothing has quite the unique (and infuriatingly fleeting) charm of Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet! In currently on my 3rd (huge 150ml!) bottle of Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet, and although I keep saying to myself I will move on to something less ethereal once this bottle is over… I’m still to find a worthy substitute. An intense version of this, keeping the airy feel but with decent sillage, would be a dream!¹Īs this was my first fragrance love, it also holds a special place for me.

Sadly, it’s also so light it almost disappears – the only reason why I don’t give this beautiful scent a full 5 stars. One of those scents that seem to fill you with hapiness and tenderness just from smelling it! It’s incredibly delicate and feminine, and just as wearable as an everyday signature as fit for a wedding. Not too sweet, not too fruity, just a light, natural-smelling floral, Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet is like a fresh breeze over a blooming garden of pink roses. It’s effortless chic, so it wears very well from casual to formal occasions. Season & Occasion: Spring-Summer, daytime. But this barely even counts, as from 15min of wear forward, it sits so close to the skin I have to smell my wrist to notice it. It does actually last an impressive time on me (about 8 hours, a fine feat for an EdT).

Finally, a gentle base of white musk stands in the background, never drawing attention to itself as the fruits, it’s only a support note for the central pink petals accord.īlooming Bouquet has, however, one important downside: it is light. After a first burst of mandarin, a natural (non-soapy!) heart of soft rose and fresh peony take certer stage, with a faint touch of peach-apricot that doesn’t get to smell fruity it just gives the floral accord a dewy feel. What caught my eye (or better, my nose) was the fragrance itself: very fit for its name, Blooming Bouquet is one of the most stunning takes on pink rose you could hope to find. The bottle is one of the loveliest in perfumery, but this was a happy bonus. Part of the Miss Dior line, it’s a soft floral Eau de Toilette. Created by Dior’s in-house perfumer, Francois Demachy, Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet (2014) was the very first designer fragrance I fell in love with, and the one that started my little perfume collection, a few years ago.
